July 19th~Phoenix Fashion Week Model Announcement

Thursday night we met up at The Mint in Scottsdale to hear the much anticipated announcement of Phoenix Fashion Week's Top 40 models for 2012 and to reveal the winners of the headshot challenge!
It was a packed house full of models, photographers, bloggers, family and fashionistas everywhere!! It was standing room only. One by one the models were introduced to the crowd and the excitement was building to hear the female and male winners of the challenge including the winning photographers!

My model, Nick Koester WON the Male headshot challenge!!! Which means I WIN the photographer challenge! Yay!! Very excited, Nick is such a professional at what he does! It was very easy to get a great shot of him. :)

Photographer, Mikel Florman won with his photo of the beautiful Madison Brown!! She's stunning and he did a great job capturing her! :)

July 17th~Christmas in July Charity Carnival

Tuesday was a fun night benefiting the Family Promise AZ charity. Our Get Image Ready team showed up with a fun photobooth to snap pictures of all the guests and families. Thanks to Kimmies Cakies & Brett Noe Productions for having us. Ms. Arizona United States Nicole Flesner was the host for the night and there were great performances by local youth including our very own Miss Junior Teen Arizona United States Maddie Rose Holler.

July 16th~Phoenix Fashion Week Model Headshot Challenge

Monday we had the opportunity to shoot 10 gorgeous faces, seasoned and new for Phoenix Fashion Week. In this challenge, the models and the photographers are competing. I worked alongside Mikel Florman, Rizalde Sherwood & Steve Trujillo. We had our own models to shoot in this gorgeous Dolce Salon location in Peoria. We had to judge our models on posing, creativity, appearance, personality and taking direction. The new models are always nervous on their first shot, but its so great to watch them grow through the year.

La Jolla Beach

I had the pleasure of capturing memories for a few families & a beautiful singer this past weekend in La Jolla, CA. The weather was perfection, the sky was photography perfection and I had a blast!! My kiddos came along and played with Grammy and Aunties while I worked.

Arizona United States Queens Send Off Party~

This year I had the pleasure of shooting as an official Pageant photographer for the Arizona United States Pageant alongside my Get Image Ready Team. I had a blast! I met a lot of amazing women of all ages. We have our new Queens for 2012 and now they are getting ready to compete for Nationals in DC. We had a party to celebrate the send off and raise funds for their trips. It was held at the gorgeous Modern Group in Scottsdale. The place is incredible! I can't wait to shoot there again.

My little sissy came down from San Antonio for the Summer and she loved meeting all the Queens.

June 29th~ Martha Stewart

A magazine I shoot for invited me to shoot an interview with the crafty icon Martha Stewart. She's such a nice lady! Very classy and very pretty! I had fun watching tv personalities interview her, too.
